  • Rick Knowlton: Reseller of Plastic Trice's Chess Sets

Rick Knowlton is the co-author of the most comprehensive book about chess variants. Titled A World of Chess: Its Development and Variations through Centuries and Civilizations (ISBN 978-0-7864-9427-9) it is 398 pages with about 400 diagrams. It covers every person, place, event, or thing from Aaron Alexandre to Zushiki, as long as it has something to do with chess or one of its many variants throughout the history of this great game. Rick presently resides in Florida and is our first authorized reseller. He has the most popular set available today: High-impact polystyrene (i.e. very strong plastic) pieces with felted bottoms along with a roll-up tournament style board.
Send an email to Rick by clicking here to ask him any questions or to order a set that will be shipped to you from the state of Florida.

The official plastic Trice's Chess set is shown below.

Each set also comes with an instruction booklet, one white felt bag for the white pieces, and one black felt bag for the black pieces.

Trice's Chess will be the preferred way to play chess for the next 1000 years.
